Library of Alexandria

Problem
As the world's largest collection of public domain literature sits scattered across utilitarian, text-heavy databases, the reading experience online remains largely unchanged from the early internet era. Younger audiences accustomed to rich, interactive digital experiences are unlikely to explore classic literature through bare-bones interfaces that feel more like file directories than libraries. The result is a massive cultural archive that goes largely undiscovered by the people who could benefit from it most.
Solution
The Library of Alexandria reimagines how people discover and read public domain books by wrapping 10,000+ titles in an immersive, tactile experience. A 3D Librarian character guides users through the collection, AI-powered tools translate text into 20 languages and answer questions about what you're reading in real time, and a hardware-inspired design system makes every interaction feel physical — from page turns to button presses. Community features let readers share highlights and reading lists, while personal dashboards track progress, bookmarks, and challenges. Every book is free. Every feature is free. It's a digital revival of the ancient library — knowledge for all, without barriers.
